100% my Converse. When I was in high school they were the only shoes I wore, well, besides my vans. I thought it made me look edgy. Oh to be that young again. Once I hit university I decided I had to look more grown up and moved into ankle boots and those dreaded knee high leather boots. Someone should have told me how horrible those looked.
Now that I am older I have decided that instead of following the trends that change way too fast, I was going to wear whatever I wanted. Pieces that felt more authentic. That meant pulling an old pair of Converse from a bag in my basement and beginning my journey of self discovery. My love for them has grown exponentially and I honestly don’t think I will wear another shoe again.
My second would have to be graphic t-shirts. This new love came from the same place as my Converse did. I wanted to wear clothes that I love and not ones that fit a trend. I used to love wearing graphic tee’s when I was an angsty teenager and now, as a angsty 30 year old I decided to start wearing them again. I love the versatility and personality they give. I can showcase any part of my personality I want through the picture on my shirt. I love it.
This is the most authentic I have felt and am so happy that I took the time to figure out my style and what works for me.
You’ll have to pull my converse and graphic tee’s from my cold dead fingers!
